[Megaman X] Undone

Undone
Megaman X, Axl, 1126 words.
Rating: PG-13
Summary: The eighth uprising has left its marks on Axl. Even if he himself doesn't realize it yet.
Notes: Challenge #27 for insert_phrase--incorporate the phrase "a beginning is a very delicate time." Rather experimental, fairly morbid, and further proof that I have way too much love for the creepy implications in Axl's X8 ending.

[Megaman X] Unexpected

Unexpected
Megaman X, Gate/Alia, 500 words.
Rating: PG
Summary: She didn’t tell herself she was worried that he didn’t need her anymore.
Notes: In response to a challenge at temps_mort, to write a series of drabbles, exactly 100 words each, that both stand on their own and work as a larger whole. Time limit of 15 minutes per drabble.

If not for rosa_aquafire, I might never have shipped these two because I was too busy sniffling over Zero/Iris. Thanks, Rosa. This one's for you, and hopefully you don't hate it. :D

[Megaman X] Welcome to the Jungle (1/?)

Welcome to the Jungle (1/?)
Megaman X, 2953 words.
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Two weeks after the Red Alert crisis, Axl officially joins the Maverick Hunters as recovery operations go into full swing. But Sigma isn't the only one who found the copy chip interesting, and the fun is only beginning...
Notes: Much love to my beta readers, Coda and Ririkit. I may not change everything you guys suggest, but I definitely take it all into consideration.

I hate writing action scenes, Signas and X will be the death of me, and figuring out technology makes my head hurt. Thinking of titles also makes my head hurt, but I stole Capcom's bag of magic tricks and applied Rule 726: When in doubt, rip off Guns N' Roses. :D

This is...on hold now, even though I have more written that I could post. I got distracted by post-X8 fic, which is much more fun than post-X7 fic. Boo.

[Megaman X] Hero

Hero
Megaman X, Red and Axl, 726 words.
Rating: PG-13 for profanity
Summary: You never asked to be his hero.
Notes: A response to a very old challenge from temps_mort, written far after the fact so I never actually posted it there. The challenge was to write a story about heroes from the second person, with a time limit of one hour.

[Rekka no Ken] untitled drabble

untitled drabble
Rekka no Ken, Eliwood/Ninian, 100 words.
Rating: PG
Summary: DRABBLES NEED NO SUMMARIES >:O
Notes: This was actually written on October 12, 2004, and conceived like two months before that, but I was slow to get it up here. Oops. Big spoilers, anyway.

[Megaman X] Sanctuary

Sanctuary
Megaman X, Iris, 466 words.
Rating: G
Summary: Sometimes when he looks at her, he thinks he's jealous.
Notes: A response to a challenge from temps_mort that was never actually posted there. The challenge was to write a fic told through drabbles. Said drabbles were not required to conform to exactly 100 words, but they had to be done within five minutes each--so it's a very fast, seat-of-your-pants challenge with pretty much no time for editing. Very hectic, but fun to do.

This is also my way of quietly sticking my tongue out at all the Iris-haters of the world. EAT MY CANON. >:O

[Megaman X] Bitch

Bitch
Megaman X, Zero, 468 words.
Rating: PG-13 for profanity
Summary: Repliforce is dead. Zero is pissed. Sigma is waiting.
Notes: This is a challenge from temps_mort. I don't think I'd ever have willingly done this if I weren't dared to. The challenge was to write an AU fic in which one of the characters is of the other gender, with a maximum time of only thirty minutes. If writing it didn't break my brain enough, being rewarded with a female!Sigma sprite by one of my friends probably finished the job...

[Lunar: Eternal Blue] If We Meet in Dreams (1/?)

If We Meet in Dreams (1/?)
Lunar: Eternal Blue, Hiro/Lucia, 2785 words.
Rating: PG-13 because I said so :D for thematic elements
Summary: After the end of the game, Lucia is having nightmares. Hiro figures a change of pace will cheer her up, and the two return to Lunar. But a simple vacation isn't going to be as simple as it seems...
Notes: December of 2003, and that's just the last time I edited--and then not a lot. I think this was actually written in more like May of 2002. (Yikes!) I am going to finish this some day even if it kills me; I think I've been holding back largely because I know that the ending is going to be depressing, and I don't want to write depressing for Hiro and Lucia, because I love them both to pieces. Sigh.

It feels mighty surreal to come back and read something written so long ago. I'm having mixed feelings over whether I'm satisfied or not. (Well, I'm never truly satisfied, but for two years ago, it's at least not as bad as I'd have expected it to be...) The extent to which is doesn't rely on dialogue is impressive, for me, since I have a horrible tendency to skimp on descriptions and use too many talking heads. I've been working on correcting that, but it's much less of a problem here than I'd have thought it would be.
